Marathon Targets was invited to participate in the 2nd annual Australian Army Innovation Day held at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra on Monday 19th of October.
The Australian Army Innovation Day is an annual event, which facilitates direct engagement between the Army and industry on leading technologies.
Themed ‘enhancing soldier performance’, members of the Army meet with industry representatives to view new and emerging technologies.
The Army’s Head of Modernisation and Strategic Planning, Major General Gus McLachlan, AM, said Innovation Day 2015 explored technologies aimed at enhancing soldier performance.
“The Australian soldier is our Army’s most valuable asset. We continually innovate to provide our people, as individuals or teams, with a competitive, intellectual, physical and technological edge,”
“No two conflicts are the same. Operational environments continually evolve and shift to become increasingly complex and ambiguous,”
“Many of the technologies displayed at Innovation Day 2015 will inform how our Army will prepare our fighting force to meet the challenges of tomorrow.”
